World Cup Madness

Once again the Italians have advanced by the slimmest of margins. I suspect that they will take care of the Ukraine on Friday and advance to face either the Germans or the Argentines. Personally, I hope that Argentina wins, because I like Hernan Crespo.

I can't see Italy winning the whole thing because they aren't offensive minded enough. If I was the coach I would make sure that Inzaghi saw the field a little bit more and I would make sure that Totti is in. For those of you who don't know and have been watching the games the pronunication of names has been terrible. Francesco Totti is one of the best players in the world yet the announcers are constantly saying his name as Taw-tee, instead of the correct pronunciation of TOE-TEE. Regardless, I assume that I am the only one up in arms of the terrible pronunciation. Nevertheless, Italy beats Ukraine 2-0, advances past Argentina 1-0 and loses in the final to Brazil, 2-1.Here is a great picture of Totti winning the last match against Australia that I pilfered off of my sisters blog.

Puppy Update

So the Puppy truely has been like a baby for us. You have to pay constant attention to her to make sure that she doesn't leave a little treat laying on the floor. Even though she has been a lot of work, she is definitely worth it. On this weeks agenda is swimming lessons.

Ben Harper

A couple of weeks ago I flew up to Portland to go spend some time with the wife and to attend a Ben Harper show. While the drive to the concert was terrible, snow, rain, and a major accident caused us to arrive late, the concert was anything but disappointing. Ben played a lot of songs off of his new album, and the concert just seemed to have a good vibe to it. After the concert we had a hankering for some breakfast food, so we made our way over to the IHOP. Let me just say that after eatting at a Classy joint like Doug & Emmy's an IHOP is like ghetto food.

After dinner we went back to our pimped out $50 dollar a night motel room. We felt like we finally were livin' large. So in conclusion, Ben Harper concerts=good, IHOP=crappy, Doug & Emmy's=excellence, $50 motel room=hood rat.

Introducing the PUPPY

So, I was finally able to be reunited with my wife this weekend and I was able to bring her home with me. In order to properly celebrate the occasion I thought that it would be a nice little treat if I got her a big surprise. I had consulted with her about the concept of a big surprise earlier in the week and she told me that she HATED surprises, especially big ones. This statement only further fanned the flames and made me determined to pull off a major surprise.

Melissa and I had gone to Target earlier in the week where I picked up a sweet little Pink Floyd shirt for the wife. I thought that this would be a nice starter surprise seeing as how I rarely if ever purchase clothing for my wife( as I am apparently clothing challenged whereas my wife is an expert). I then stumbled across the real surprise the next day and though hesitant at first to make the purchase my little sister was once again present to offer more than mere encouragement towards this purchase. As evidenced by the title of this post I purchased a puppy.

I am sure that this post will be the first in a long line of puppy posts.. In conclusion of the puppy surprise Tia was totally fooled when I pulled out the Pink Floyd shirt. She thought that was what I meant by big surprise. I guess that i haven't made a lot of what most people would consider to be high end purchases so her expectations were probably pretty low. Needless to say Tia has taken a liking to her puppy, and I will now have to outdo myself in the future.

48 Hours "Murder Mystery"

So now that all of the good shows are on hiatus for the summer and quality programming like "So You Think You Can Dance" are thrown out there for our viewing pleasure, I thought that it was only appropriate that I state that the best show on TV(at this moment) is 48 hours.

What can be better than following some strange death from the beginning all the way through the investigation and the trial. It is basically the equivalent of Law & Order without the catchy one liners from Lenny Brisco. The storys usually tend to be so extraordinary that they are hard to believe. Basically, from watching this show I have learned that there is really no such thing as a random act of violence. All of the people that are profiled on this show end up attacked by their spouse. Thus, Tia and I have pledged that if things ever go awry in our marriage we can feel free to walk away rather than to plan some sort of elaborate attack on each other. By the way, some people may find this to be a cryptic post, but it is pretty much in jest. At least the spousal attack part. I am being serious that I really like the show.

Passed UP

So, I have been really bad about posting recently. In fact I might have officially lost my membership in the blogosphere. Numerous people that I know have started blogs in the past month(including my sister) and have actively been blogging. Thus, I feel as though I have been passed up by these folks. However, I have recommitted myself to blogging and intend on keeping this bad boy up to date.

Graduation from Law School turned out to be a great thing. I actually felt proud of myself for accomplishing something like that. Having all the family come out and being able to experience that together felt great. Another amazing bonus of being a graduate are the sweet gifts that show up. Some of the cooler stuff that I was able to get hooked up with included a cell phone(yes I have finally entered the 00's), basically unlimited golfing opportunities, a sweet leather binder, a Pimping work wardrobe, and finally the best of all a NEW MACBOOK!

So, the amazing macbook has some nifty features, like the ibooth camera which allows you to take and edit all sorts of pics. Here is one of the first attempts and the ibooth.
