Time for the Holy War

It is here. One of my favorite times of the year, the week that brings out all the hatred and smack that can exisit over a 40 mile stretch of land. While this season has been a disappointment for the Utes, a lot of that can be put on the backburner if the Utes win this week. The Utes are looking to extend the streak to 5 straight victories over the patsy to the south. While the Zoobies are continually talking about their return to glory. I love this week, and can't wait for the game on saturday.

I was reading some stuff on Wikipedia and came across this littleTIDBIT which I think is great. For those who aren't well versed in the hatred which is the Holy War this will give you an understanding of why the HATRED runs so deep.

No Need to Fear the Judges in Utah

Having been to a few different courtrooms, I can say that generally Judges are pretty friendly characters, and at the very least are cordial. After watching this clip of Judge Lewis most people would probably not be under that impression. This lady is straight up crazy. But don't worry, you can put your minds at ease, because she was ousted last week. Hopefully, this is the last tirade that we will be seeing of this lady. You tube explains the whole thing.

Context for Internet Freaks

So my brother was apparently pretty upset at my lack of "hyperlinks". So just to prove it to him that I am plenty capable of inserting such high-tech features into my blog I will now do so which at the same time will allow me to give a little bit of explanation as to the freaks in the internet video. So here goes:

1. Tron Guy - Tron was one of the coolest movies of the '80's, and not just for nerds. Even Tia has commented that she thinks Tron is a totally cool movie. Tron stars Jeff Bridges and was actually made by Disney. Tron Guy is a coputer programmer by the name of Jay Maynard, who has made numerous late night TV appearances. So, all the info that one could need on Tron Guy can be found at his own Tron Guy website, where the costume is explained. Tron Guy can also be found at Wikipedia.

2. Peter Pan - Peter Pan has not only been immortalized in the cartoon world, but has also had the privilege of a Johnny Depp portrayal. Peter Pan is a totally freaky computer programmer who has decided that he is indeed Peter Pan. His personal website can be found right here. More info on Randy Constan can also be found at wikipedia.

3. Leslie Hall- is just a total wierdo. Due to a total lack of social skill she decided to be as strange as she possibly could. She became a rap artist and has quite the impressive collection of "Gem Sweaters". Considering that she is 2 years younger than me but looks like she is in her 50's I would say that she is doing a good job of being playing the freakshow card. Leslie's homepage can be found here. To find even more info on Ms. Hall check out wikipedia.

Utah Jazz Basketball, You've Gotta Love It Baby

We went to the Jazz game last night, and having watched the other 2 games on TV, I have to see that the Jazz are going to be better dominate this year. I can't ever remember the Jazz being this deep and athletic. Granted they don't have a Karl Malone or a John Stockton, but what they do have is the ability to have 7 or 8 guys put up points in a hurry.

For anyone who doubted Carlos Boozer's ability or who wanted the Jazz to trade him over the years, I hope that you feel really stupid. Boozer has been the best player on the floor in all 3 games this year. He currently leads the league in rebounding, and there is no reason that shouldn't continue for the whole season. Watch out Western Conference. I don't think that the Jazz are ready to compete for the finals, but a 4 seed wouldn't be out of the question.

Michael J. Fox Responds to Rush

Watch and listen to what Michael J. Fox says. This is a classy guy. He does an excellent job at making his point. Even if you disagree with Stem-Cell research listen to what he says at the end. It is what America is all about. I have a totally new found respect for Mr. Fox and would definitely approve of Stem Cell research.
